Andrew Love

Andrew Love

Experience: Andrew joined Chambers as long ago as 1995, and has been a valued member of the clerking team ever since. He was appointed as the Senior Clerk in 2016.

Responsibilities: Andrew heads up our dedicated team of Clerks and along with having oversight of 5RB’s operations and business activities, is responsible for the strategic management and development of all members’ practices. With more than 25 years of experience, he has a thorough understanding of Chambers’ specialist areas of law and can be contacted at any time should you have a prospective new matter you wish to discuss with him or for that matter, any issue relating to 5RB.

Andrew holds an ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management and is a member of both the Legal Practice Managers Association and the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks.

Interests outside of work: Andrew enjoys spending his time away from Chambers desperately trying to train both his newly acquired Chocolate Labrador puppy and his two daughters…. to varying degrees of success. Passions include watching cricket (of any standard), cooking (and eating) and purchasing and sometimes reading, a large number of self-development books.

During business hours (8.30am-6.30pm), Andrew can be contacted via andrewlove@5rb.com or 020 7242 2902. If you require urgent assistance outside of this time (including over weekends) with either a matter that requires urgent advice or a prospective injunctive application, please call his mobile on 07932 647 040.

Legal directory recognition:

“Andrew Love is probably the most experienced clerk at the media bar, “a top level senior clerk” and “a very good operator”.

“Senior clerk Andrew Love is fantastic, pragmatic and understanding of clients’ needs.”

The “reassuring” senior clerk Andrew Love “understands the matters at hand very quickly – almost better than if you were explaining it to another solicitor – and is immediately able to suggest the right barrister or course of action.”

A ‘great team leader’, Love helms a clerks’ room that has ‘gone up a notch in recent years’ and provides a ‘second-to-none’ service thanks to ‘some of the best clerks in London’.
