I enjoy challenges; particularly those with an international element. Aside from the professional challenges posed by working abroad in France and the US, and by participating in international conferences, I took part in a fundraising challenge a couple of years ago in which I raised over £4000 for Mencap by cycling 300 km in the foothills of the Himalayas.
