Tulisa’s ex admits uploading sex film

Star's former boyfriend finally owns up to publication of sex tape

The former boyfriend of Tulisa Contostavlos, the X-Factor Judge formerly of N-Dbuz, has admitted responsibility for the online publication earlier this year of a film of he and Tulisa engaged in a sexual act.

The film surfaced online in March, on a website from which it could be downloaded for $5.99. It quickly proliferated to become widely available without payment. Emergency injunctions were obtained by 5RB’s Desmond Browne QC and Jacob Dean, instructed by Lewis Silkin LPP. In the proceedings which followed, and in the press, Tulisa’s former boyfriend Justin Edwards denied that he had anything to do with the film becoming public, saying such conduct would be “ungentlemanly”. On Monday Jacob Dean told Mr Justice Tugendhat that Edwards had “admitted responsibility for the publication of the video, apologised for it, and promised not to do it again”. Today, in a Statement in Open Court, the Judge was told that Tulisa had been particularly distressed by the “wholly untrue allegation made by some that she was in some way complicit with the release of the footage. She was not.”

Tulisa’s claim against those who assisted Mr Edwards continues.
