Arbitration
Many commercial disputes are settled by arbitration, which provides a confidential means of resolving the dispute, with limited recourse to the Courts.
Arbitration is also a common means of dispute resolution in sport. The rules of regulators such as the Football Association and the FA Premier League often require this method to be used, when differences arise between participants
Members of 5RB sit as arbitrators, and appear as advocates in these proceedings. Members of 5RB who undertake this work are:
Mark is a sports arbitrator, being on the panel of arbitrators for the FA Premier League. He is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers and the British Association for Sport and the Law.
Stephen is also a Chartered Arbitrator, FCI Arb. and a CEDR accredited mediator. He is on CEDR’s Select and Direct panels, a panel mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a member of the London Dispute Resolution Service, an association of
