Foreign Jurisdictions
These days newspapers, magazines and books are published all over the world sometimes in hard copy and sometimes on the World Wide Web. Members of 5RB are often called upon to advise or appear in matters relating to foreign jurisdictions. We provide direct advisory services to foreign lawyers, especially in pre-publication matters and the more senior members of 5RB are also instructed to advise and appear in overseas litigation, particularly in actions brought in Hong Kong and Singapore. Many junior members of Chambers have undertaken pegasus scholarships abroad in media law firms, working in places such as Austrialia and the United States. Some members of 5RB have also undertaken human rights project work in Kenya, Sudan, Iran, Albania, Macedonia, Ukraine and Pakistan.
