5RB Welcomes New Tenants & Pupils

Richard Munden and David Hirst join 5RB

5RB welcomes Richard Munden and David Hirst as new members of Chambers today. Both were pupils at 5RB and their recruitment brings the media law set’s complement to 27 barristers.

Richard Munden was educated at the comprehensive school in Wadebridge, Cornwall, before achieving a first class law degree at the University of Warwick and then the BCL at St Peter’s College, Oxford. Richard was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in July 2003 before joining 5RB to commence pupillage in October 2003.

David Hirst was educated at Malvern College before gaining a first in History at Trinity College Cambridge and then his MPhil in Historical Studies. David was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in October 2003 and joined 5RB as a pupil that same month.

Joint Head of 5RB, Desmond Browne QC said: “We are all delighted to welcome Richard and David. Based on their performance during pupillage, we are confident that they will prove to be outstanding members of 5RB.”

5RB is also pleased to welcome two new pupils today. Andrew Bousfield and Louise Hammersley will be with the set for their year-long pupillage training.
