Media law conference took place on 29 September 2016
Conference5RB was held on 29 September 2016 at IET Savoy Place.
Chambers has been holding a media law conference every two years since our first conference in 2006. This year we were delighted to welcome over 250 clients and colleagues to Conference5RB 2016.
Sir Alan Moses gave the keynote speech, which is now available to read on the IPSO website. There were plenary sessions on current issues in defamation, and current issues in privacy, harassment and data protection. Panel members also touched on the potential impact of Brexit.
After lunch, a series of workshop sessions were held on a diverse range of media law topics. The full Conference5RB 2016 programme can be found here.
For those who attended, papers from Conference5RB 2016 can be downloaded here, with the password provided in your delegate pack and via the post-conference email.
5RB is an accredited BSB CPD provider ID 2251. Conference5RB qualifies for 6.5 hours. CPD reference CFT/CHPM.
5RB would like to thank all those who attended for their contributions throughout the day. We would also appreciate your feedback to help us in planning our next event, so if you did not complete an evaluation form on the day, please do take the time to complete the online form for a chance to win a case of champagne.
Special thanks also go to our sponsors Hiscox. Conference5RB could not offer the same value without their support.
