5RB is delighted to announce that Felicity McMahon has been elected a Master of the Bench of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, the highest level of membership within the Inn. This honour is awarded to individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the life and work of the Inn.
Felicity is one of the youngest barristers to be elected to the Middle Temple Bench; most of her 500 colleagues are King’s Counsel or senior members of the judiciary. Her well-deserved nomination follows years of dedicated service to Middle Temple, particularly in her roles on the Hall Committee, including a year as its Chair. She also co-founded the Inn’s highly successful Survive and Thrive programme, which supports the professional development and well-being of members; sits on the Inn’s Hardship Fund Panel; and interviews applicants for GDL and Bar Course scholarships.
Felicity’s Bench Call took place on 22 July 2025 and was attended by her husband Brad, her family, and several colleagues from 5RB, including fellow Middle Temple Benchers Adrienne Page KC and Adam Speker KC.
5RB warmly congratulates Master McMahon on this outstanding achievement and recognition of her significant contributions to the profession and the Inn.
