Joint Head of Chambers Justin Rushbrooke QC named The Times Lawyer of the Week

Justin Rushbrooke QC has been named “Lawyer of the Week” by The Times, following the Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the summary judgment in favour of the Duchess of Sussex in her claim for breach of privacy and copyright. Justin appeared for the Duchess of Sussex, alongside Jane Phillips of 5RB.

The article also referenced Justin’s successful appearance for Sir Cliff Richard in his privacy action against the BBC. He describes how “emerging from court to a chorus of Congratulations from the Cliffettes” was the “funniest thing that has happened” to him as a Barrister.

Justin Rushbrooke QC has been Joint Head of Chambers at 5RB (with Desmond Browne QC) since 2017 and took silk in 2013.
