Media lawyers urge challenge to privacy ruling

Petition to German Government to appeal ECHR's Caroline decision


The Lawyer article UK press in-housers fight privacy ruling by Steve Hoare reports that Associated Newspapers’ head of legal, Harvey Kass, has contacted his peers in the national press asking them to support efforts to convince the German government to appeal the ground-breaking Princess Caroline privacy decision to the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).


The German Government has until 24 September 2004 to appeal the decision.
