The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has announced that Jonathan Scherbel-Ball has been reappointed for a further four year term on the Advisory Council on National Records and Archives.
Jonathan has sat on the Advisory Council since 2022. The Advisory Council is an independent body which advises the Secretary of State on issues relating to access to public records, the Freedom of Information Act and represents the public interest in deciding what records should be open or closed. The Council is chaired by the Master of the Rolls and has a number of members, including information specialists, historians, journalists, archivists and former civil servants.
Jonathan will undertake this part-time role alongside his busy media and information law practice. Read the official announcement here.
