Luke Browne joins 5RB from October 1, 2020

We are pleased to announce that Luke Browne has been offered tenancy after successful completion of pupillage. From October, Luke will join 5RB as our 33rd member of chambers. His supervisors were Adam Speker QC, Aidan Eardley, Kate Wilson and Jonathan Scherbel-Ball.

Before joining chambers Luke worked at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland, and the International Rescue Committee.

Luke studied law at Trinity College, Dublin, before gaining an MPhil in Politics at the University of Cambridge.

Luke advises on all areas of chambers’ practice, including defamation, malicious falsehood, privacy, data protection, harassment and human rights.

In giving the news, the joint head of chambers Desmond Browne QC said:

“5RB is delighted to welcome Luke as our latest recruit. In these difficult times he has managed to impress us all during his pupillage. His academic and professional background in both Ireland and England are a surefire recipe for future success. We have no doubt that our clients will quickly come to share our high opinion of him”.
