5RB tops directory ranking

Chambers & Partners 2011 edition praises set

5RB as a set and many individual members have been top ranked in the Chambers & Partners directory for 2011.

The directory describes 5RB as a “mega set” for defamation and privacy, going on to describe it as “Multidisciplinary in nature, it has great strength in depth on the barristerial front and clerks who “are seemingly available at all hours for urgent work” …  the set “has a greater number of the better defamation lawyers” when compared to most of its rivals in the sector.”

5RB was also said to be “a leading set” in ‘Media & Entertainment’, while Mark Warby QC was recommended in the ‘Sport’ category.

Members of 5RB dominating the top rankings for both silks and juniors in Defamation & Privacy. Four silks (Desmond Browne, Adrienne Page, James Price and Mark Warby) and thirteen juniors (four in Band 1) were recommended, more than from any other chambers.

Juniors rated in Band 1 for Defamation & Privacy were Alexandra Marzec, David Sherborne, Justin Rushbrooke and Matthew Nicklin, while Stephen Bate was Band 1 for Media & Entertainment (in which Christina Michalos was also individually rated).  Other individuals to garner praise for their defamation and privacy work were Adam Wolanski, Jacob Dean, Adam Speker, Jonathan Barnes, Godwin Busuttil, William Bennett, Anna Coppola, Victoria Jolliffe and Richard Munden.
