5RB Announces new Joint Head of Chambers

Mark Warby QC Takes on Role


Desmond Browne QC, Joint Head of Chambers and former Bar Council Chair, has announced that Adrienne Page QC has decided to step down as Joint Head of Chambers after eight years’ service. Adrienne, who is replaced by Mark Warby QC, will be continuing with her full-time practice.

‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank Adrienne, personally and on behalf of all members of chambers and staff, for her unstinting dedication to 5RB over these past eight years. Nothing has been too much for her. Our clients, too, will know how much we all owe her. I look forward to working with Mark in facing the challenges in the years ahead.’

Mark Warby QC is a leading silk in media, entertainment, sports and regulatory law. He is an editor and author of The Law of Privacy and The Media 2nd ed (OUP, 2011), and speaks frequently on these issues at conferences and in the media.

Adrienne Page QC is a leading defamation and media law silk. Adrienne represented Simon Singh against the British Chiropractic Association on his successful appeal. She was also successful in defending Channel 4 in their libel action against Matt Fiddes, in relation to a documentary about the Jackson family.
