Article on approaches to transparency in cases involving allegations of abuse

5RB’s Adam Wolanski KC and Lily Walker-Parr have authored an article entitled “From privacy to publicity: controlling the disclosure of allegations of abuse in litigation”. It has been published in the latest edition of the International Family Law Journal ([2023] IFL 77-81).

The article traces the differing approaches to transparency across the family, civil and criminal courts in respect of allegations of abuse and raises key issues for consideration by any lawyer advising on such matters. In particular, the article covers the recent developments in the family courts across financial remedies proceedings and the proposed reforms under the Transparency Pilot.
