The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has announced today that Jonathan Scherbel-Ball has been appointed to the Advisory Council on National Records and Archives.
The Advisory Council is an independent body which advises the Secretary of State on issues relating to access to public records and represents the public interest in deciding what records should be open or closed. The Council is chaired by the Master of the Rolls and has a number of members, including information specialists, historians, journalists, archivists and former civil servants.
Jonathan will undertake this part-time role alongside his busy media and information law practice.
