5RB are pleased to announce that current pupil, Julian Santos, has accepted an offer of to join Chambers, commencing in October 2014 on completion of his pupillage.
Before undertaking pupillage at 5RB, Julian practised as a barrister in the litigation department of Hassans law firm in Gibraltar. There he had experience of a wide variety of work, including defamation and sports law, as well as commercial, banking, administrative and human rights law. Called to the Bar in 2008 by Middle Temple, where he won a Harmsworth Entrance Exhibition Scholarship, Julian speaks fluent Spanish, and has interests including football, cricket, food and wine. During pupillage Julian has been supervised by Adam Speker, William Bennett, Richard Munden and currently David Hirst.

Julian said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join 5RB after spending the past nine months gaining experience and receiving guidance in Chambers. I will complete my pupillage over the remaining three months and look forward to taking up tenancy in October. I am grateful for the support I’ve received during pupillage and will work towards maintaining 5RB’s reputation as a leading media law set.”
