Due to work commitments that require her to travel abroad, the Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham will no longer be able to attend this year’s Conference5RB, to be held on Wednesday 26th September 2018.
We can confirm, however, that the Information Commissioner’s Office’s General Counsel, Emma Bate, has very kindly agreed to attend and speak at the conference. 5RB is very grateful to Ms Bate, who leads the legal team at the ICO, for kindly offering to attend. She will address current data protection issues relevant to media law practitioners, including of course the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation.
