The Court of Appeal hearing in Lachaux v AOL (UK), Independent Print Ltd & Evening Standard Ltd begins today. The appeal is being heard in Court 72 by Lord Justice McFarlane, Lord Justice Davis and Lady Justice Sharp.
This case will be the first time the Court of Appeal will consider the serious harm threshold set by section 1 Defamation Act 2013. The Court of Appeal is hearing appeals against the decision of Warby J and the decision of Sir Michael Tugendhat.
