5RB is delighted to announce that Julian Santos has been appointed King’s Counsel in Gibraltar.
Julian was called to the Bar in 2008 and has practised at 5RB since he became a tenant in 2014. He regularly advises professional sportspersons, musicians, actors and others in relation to defamation, privacy, data protection, harassment and breach of confidence issues.
Julian becomes the youngest Gibraltarian ever to be made a KC.
Recommended as a leading junior by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, his recent cases include acting for the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and Lord Watson of Wyre Forest in their claims against News Group Newspapers Ltd, the publisher of the Sun and the News of the World, and as Counsel to the Inquiry into the Retirement of the Former Police Commissioner in Gibraltar.
