Jonathan Barnes – along with the other 2021 silks – has this morning (15 March 2021) received his letters patent by email from the Crown Office. He is now therefore officially designated as Jonathan Barnes QC.
Given the Covid-19 lockdown, the Westminster ceremony – at which letters patent are usually presented – has had to be postponed.
Jonathan has spent his entire career at the Bar with 5RB – joining as a pupil in 1999. Before that he was a solicitor with City firm Richards Butler.
