Following the appointment of former Joint Head of Chambers Mr Justice Warby as a High Court Judge on 10th June 2014, 5RB are delighted to announce that Matthew Nicklin QC has become Joint Head of Chambers. He joins Desmond Browne QC who continues in the role.
Desmond Browne QC said: “I’m delighted that Matthew is willing to join me as Head of Chambers. Mark’s shoes will be difficult to fill, but if anyone can do it, Matthew can. The injection of new blood will ensure the continued success of 5RB amidst all the challenges of the coming decade.”
Matthew Nicklin QC said: “It is a huge honour to be asked to become joint Head of 5RB with Desmond. Mark Warby has been an inspirational Head of Chambers and we are all sorry to see him leave us for the Bench. I shall endeavour to do as good a job as he did leading 5RB.”
