The Court of Appeal today dismissed Mirror Group Newspapers’ appeal in relation to the sums in damages awarded by Mr Justice Mann to eight representative claimants who had been the victims of phone-hacking.
Lady Justice Arden, Lady Justice Rafferty and Lord Justice Kitchen dismissed MGN’s four grounds of appeal, allowing the original damages awards, totalling £1.2m, to stand.
