Former 5RB member Mr Justice Nicklin has been appointed Judge in Charge of the High Court’s Media and Communications List. He takes up the position on 3 February 2021 when Mr Justice Warby – also a former 5RB tenant – moves to the Court of Appeal.
Mr Justice Nicklin was called to the Bar in 1993 by Lincoln’s Inn, and joined Chambers in 1996. He was appointed a recorder in 2009, and took silk in 2013. He was Joint Head of Chambers from 2014 until his appointment to the High Court Bench in 2017. He was a member of the Bar Standards Board from 2008 to 2013 and was made a Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 2015.
