Source protection in the High Court

The High Court has today handed down judgment refusing applications by Stokoe Partnership Solicitors and Karam al Sadeq for non-party disclosure orders against the Sunday Times, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and its editor, Franz Wild.

The Respondents successfully opposed the orders sought on grounds of source protection, relying on s.10 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981.

The full judgment can be found here.
