Tiyash Banerjee

Tiyash Banerjee joined 5RB in October 2026, upon completion of her pupillage.

She accepts instructions across all areas of chambers’s practice, including defamation, privacy, data protection, and harassment.

During pupillage, Tiyash was supervised by Richard Munden, Kate Wilson, Greg Callus, and Ben Gallop and undertook placements at the BBC and The Times.

Prior to 5RB

Before joining 5RB, Tiyash worked as a Judicial Assistant at the Court of Appeal, to Lord Justice Singh. As a Judicial Assistant, Tiyash worked on Banks v Cadwalladr [2023] EWCA Civ 219 and Wright v McCormack [2023] EWCA Civ 892. Tiyash subsequently worked as a researcher for barristers specialising in both public and media law, working on both live cases and practitioner texts on judicial review and online publication claims.
