Our Senior Clerk, Andrew Love, has won Senior Clerk of the Year at The Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026, which took place yesterday evening.
Andrew has been part of the 5RB family since 1995. He knows our members, our work and our clients inside out, and brings that experience to the clerks’ room every day. He is also a great leader, and everyone who works with Andrew values his wisdom and good judgement.
All at 5RB are pleased and proud to see his contribution recognised.
Our Joint Heads of Chambers, Adrienne Page KC and Jane Phillips, in paying tribute to Andrew’s award, noted that, in the 2026 Bar Awards, he faced formidable competition from senior clerks at seven other top sets: “Andrew’s adult-life journey has been a tale of unflinching commitment to 5RB for over 30 years. He joined our clerking team as a teenager, steadily working his way up to the position of Senior Clerk, which he achieved exactly 10 years ago. This award is richly deserved by Andrew, who is everything that one could wish for in a Senior Clerk: he is an outstanding example of business acumen and drive coupled with empathy and natural emotional intelligence. He daily directs these formidable qualities not only towards maintaining the outstanding service to our clients, for which our clerking team is renowned, but also in positive and sensitive support for the well-being of members of chambers and staff, through which he is the mainstay of the collegiate and supportive environment at 5RB, of which we are justly proud.”
