Mr Justice Nicklin has today given judgment dismissing the Duke of Sussex’s application to strike out (or for summary judgment on) the defence of honest opinion relied upon Associated Newspapers Limited.
The application was heard in the High Court in March of this year and follows an earlier trial of preliminary issues in June 2022.
The claim, which arises from an article published in February 2022 in the Mail on Sunday and on MailOnline, can now continue to trial.
