The Duke of Sussex and Lord Watson have won a landmark unlawful information gathering claim against News Group Newspapers Limited (“NGN”), in what has been described as a historic admission of guilt. NGN has, for the first time, admitted that private investigators acting for The Sun were engaged in unlawful activities.
This admission was made on the first day of trial in claims brought by both Lord Watson and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. The Court heard that following a dramatic adjournment, both claims have now been settled.
