5RB cases dominate Spear’s reputation cases roundup 2022

Spear’s Magazine has recently published its list of ‘Blockbuster reputation cases of 2022’.

Members of 5RB acted in each of the listed UK cases:

1. Vardy v Rooney: David Sherborne and Ben Hamer acted for Coleen Rooney, the successful defendant (instructed by Brabners LLP).
2. ENRC v Burgis & HarperCollins: Adrienne Page KC and Tom Blackburn SC acted for the Claimant (instructed by Taylor Wessing LLP); and Andrew Caldecott KC and David Hirst acted for the Defendants (instructed by Wiggin LLP).
3. Sir James Dyson & Ors v Channel Four & Anor: Adam Wolanski KC and Gervase de Wilde acted for the successful Defendants (instructed by Simons Muirhead Burton LLP).
4. Phone Hacking Settlements: Numerous members of 5RB currently act for both the claimants and defendants across the phone hacking claims, including David Sherborne, Julian Santos and Ben Hamer for the claimants; and Richard Munden, Ben Gallop, Lily Walker-Parr, Hope Williams and Gemma McNeil-Walsh for Mirror Group Newspapers (instructed by Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP).
