The 5RB team of Jonathan Barnes, Adam Speker, Victoria Shore, Felicity McMahon, Chloe Strong, Julian Santos and Justin Simon took part in the London Legal Walk yesterday to raise money for the London Legal Support Trust, the Free Representation Unit and the Bar Pro Bono Unit. The team raised a total of £2341.25 (including gift aid) and would like to thank all those who sponsored them. The agencies receiving the money do great work assisting those in need of legal help who cannot afford it, including through preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation.
In total over 8,000 lawyers took part in the 10km walk, which marked the 10th anniversary of the event. Together they raised over £500,000 to support law centres and legal advice agencies in London and the south-east.
